The talk is based on the best selling book Low Municipality- Reflections of the Past which describes 1895 Tax Revolt of Low (Battle of Brennan's Hill), the arrival of the Gatineau Valley Railroad to the Municipality of Low in 1892, and the monumental task of building the Paugan Falls Hydro Electric Project from 1927-29.

Of special interest to many readers will be the inclusion of hundreds of individual and group photos of people and places throughout the communities of Low, Venosta, Fieldville, Brennan’s Hill and the Manitou. Photos range mostly from the 1880's to the post WW II era. Low Municipality – Reflections of the Past” is a rather large book (close to 600 pages), and is printed as a soft cover perfect binding including hundreds of black and white pictures and over 20 colour pages.

The book has been a “work in progress” for close to ten years. “Low Municipality – Reflections of the Past” looks at the many aspects of Low Township. It includes an historical account of the earliest days of Low's inception and how it progressed to an established municipality within the Gatineau.

The interest shown in the book has been beyond our expectations and the requests for copies continued. It has been an amazing experience for myself (Donnie Kealey), and my partner in writing, Lise St.Jean.

Two very successful book release events occurred recently. The first took place
on December 6, 2015 at Low Heritage Hall. A second, a week later, on Sunday, December 13, occurred at Brennan's Hill Hotel. Both proved to be memorable events, where people not only had a chance to pick up their own copy of the book, but also afforded them the opportunity to meet several friends, many of whom they had not met for some time.
Low Municipality – Reflections of the Past Thank you for your interest in my book.“
